Started the Sat morning with an early appointment at Bellauna (cuppage plaza). They having tie-up with Simply Her. $28 for massage/slimming etc. and 1st 30 callers get a free face/body therapy. After my body detox session (the therapist claim to do Zoe Tay and Diana Ser!), proceed to do express facial.

Attended Shiseido Alexandra Wang fashion show at Takashimaya.



Went to FR3B. This is my 3rd trip. I am running out of items to check out :P


Took lunch at Sakura Family resturant (capital building). The food sucks. It not even worth posting the picture here.

Attended Laneige Workhop at Robinsons Rafflescity. There is a makeup demo (I am not the model)


Bought Men's Health at Bishan interchange and got this gift:

Last day of my 1 week leave..sob sob...

I did it again. To utilize a $25 hair voucher at Jeric salon Central, I did a wash and blow which cost me $35 (or rather $37.50 after gst). End up paying cash $12.50 for the wash and blow. This is consider expensive as in a neighbour salon, can easily get a wash/blow for $6 to $8 bucks.

Went to Unilever to redeem movie tickets (Today advertisement: 1st 240 to purchase $8 of lipton product to redeem a pair of tickets worth $21). Was one of the 240 but the marketing pp have not bought the tickets yet so they will mail it to me. A thought: What's with these pp? Doing marketing campaign but not ready for it???

Since I am in orchard, went to:
1. Centrepoint Robinsons and 2 hydraquench mask sachet (got a mailer from them)
2. Metro Paragon to collect Givenchy scratch and win perfumes for me and sis (got a mailer from them
3. Tangs Orchard to collect YSL perfume vial (print from www.tangs.com) and Chanel ultralift samples (got email from them)


Attend Nuyou Keraskin event 5-7pm at IN@Backstage (Orchard hotel shopping arcade). Up close and personal with Judy Koh (backstage boss - the one who was in tv advertisement) in person. The goodie bag consist of Keraskin Samples. Also got a hair cut and facial for attending the workshop. Thank you Nuyou, In@Backstage and Kerskin(Loreal)!


When I reach home, saw that mum and dad has collected my prize from Genting Lane. Thanks mummy and daddy!

To utilize a $10 voucher that expires at end of the month, I ate a mudpie at Big O cafe. I am not a ice cream lover so I find it find of a torture to eat so much ice cream at one go, not to mention it wasn't that yummy too.



Kill 2 bird at 1 stone at Singapore shopping centre: 1pm Sheep Placenta Facial at Lumiere followed by 2pm Natural body detox aka slimming session at Chrysalis Spa. Managed to book at session only after trying for a few days, it's always full even at office hours??!!! They sent me a letter to redeem for a free session and a goodie bag:

Did my pedicure at Raffles place Arcade L2. It's a good deal: 12 classic pedicures at $250. Averages to $20.85 each time and what's more, there is free express pedicure and 6x hard skin treatment. When I question about how about the other 6 times without hard skin treatment (I need it!), they were prepared: can upgrade to $500 package which comes with 22 times pedicure with 22 times hard skin treatment and 2 classic mani, 2 mask treatment etc. Good marketing tactics!

Mum's birthday

Wanted to give mum a special birthday. Went to tampines century square - there used to be a place selling potted plants but it's gone. In the end only manage to get her other favourites: durians & jackfruit.

1st stop is to Isetan Scotts to get my yummy deep fried scallop (100g $6.00).

Read reviews about Silk Whitia mask promotion 1.95 at Sasa so decide to give it a try. Bought 2 pieces from Sasa Wisma Atria: Mineral hydrating mask and Collagen milky mask. I had breakouts before using aroma oils so decide to give the aromatherapy range a miss. Got a makeover/eye brow trim voucher - good deal!

Bought Haper Bazzar ($5) at Times and got a 3 pieces lancome set worth $47:

Did my skin consultation at Robinsons centrepoint and got a 3 step trial and all about eyes 7ml.

On my way to Fr3b.com concept store, stopover for lunch at Magic Wok. Always have a problem lunch alone - the food courts are too crowded and not single-pp friendly. Had Pineapple rice ($4.80) and Soursop drink it comes with fruit bits ($2). Total bill $6.80. Price 4.5/5 Looks 4.5/5 Taste 2.5/5.

Also collected my Biotherm 3 pcs from Tangs Vivocity. 1 serum 5ml, 1 sachet of eye cream & 1 sachet of cream gel.

Ramen Ten 99 cents sushi (white plates)

Got a flyer at Harbourfront mrt few days back. Ramen Ten/Shin Tokyo having 99 cents sushi (all white plates). Decide to try out. Ordered a ebi ramen set (comes with hot/cold green tea) $5.99+++ and 6 plates of sushi to share. The food is not exactly fantastic (of course cannot compare with Sushi Tei and higher end Japanese restaurants) but reasonable for the price.

You must be thinking I am crazy or what- went with a colleague to Jack's place Anchorpoint during lunch for 1-for-1 slipper lobster again.

Seafood harvest 1 for 1 Lobster Thermidor

Went alone to Seafood harvest. Couldn't resist temptation of the 1 for 1 Lobster Thermidor even though I am shopping alone. I request to takeaway the free one for mum and dad to test. I think they like it!

Yummy 1 for 1 slipper lobster lunch at Jack's place

Went with 3 colleagues to Jack's place Anchorpoint for 1-for-1 slipper lobster. Not bad, will go again before promption ends! Only valid from 11-20 August!

Murad promotion at Halem Street

0I was attracted by Cleo promotion - spend $80 nett and get a free facial so went to check it out. But was disappointed: 1. $80 nett spend is only on regular items, if you buy special items e.g. mask $39 cannot be included in the $80 spend. 2. Facial done by Tara and for 1st timers only (I have been there before). The lady Yuki was quite friendly and in the end, I pai seh bought 1 hydrating mask $39 (usual $69) from her.



There was a 20% off regular items but I thought Metro upcoming promo was better:


I interpret it as buy 1 product 10%, ... 3 products get 28%.
How wrong I was! When I call up, I almost faint. It reads like this: 1 product (least expensive one) at 10%, 3rd product (most expensive one 28% off). And if you prepay for early bird $50 (again there is hidden t&c: min one more than $100 product), you get a toner BUT if you buy 3 item $122,$69 and $60 each: Most expensive item ($122-$50)less 28%, 2nd item $69 less 18%, Cheapest item $60 less 10%. In the end, I got so pissed off that they loss a great customer: ME!

Was surprised when I saw the advertisement in Straits times - reminds me of i-cheq programme few years back. Dining vouchers at 30% off. How it works: Citibank card holders can buy $50 face value dining voucher at 30% off i.e. $35. Maximum 4 vouchers per person.
